We all know what it’s like to feel worried. The butterflies in our tummy before that big speech, or the tension we feel before a big exam, or that grand final. The experience of anxiety is our body’s way of preparing us to manage those difficult situations. Sometimes anxiety can help us perform better by helping us feel alert and motivated.
But for some people, anxiety is more than this and can stick around for a long time. It can end up having a big impact on daily life.
